Future Government? It’s Time to Handover to the Next Generation
I would never try to tell the younger generation what to do. But just imagine for a moment how a worldwide organization could emerge, almost overnight. And imagine if that organization provided high profile communications on how individual countries are performing (or not) against climate and sustainability targets, and supply the media with material (ammunition) to challenge the existing political hierarchy. Continue reading

Societal Breakdown – A Very Disturbing Trend
We should take note of a disturbing trend in society that is accelerating. We all know that America is sharply divided between red and blue or Republican and Democrat if you prefer. Friends from the USA mentioned the other day … Continue reading

Let the Majority Speak!
It’s not just in Ireland that minorities seem to hold sway. It happens worldwide in democracies. Today it’s evident that this policy is the new normal everywhere. It applies increasingly to Covid19 but equally climate change where it’s also a major challenge because there are many lobbyists that continue to peddle climate nonsense as unchallengeable fact. Pandemic Fatigue breaks out in Ireland. And it’s all the government’s fault!
It appears that much of Europe is struggling to contain the Coronavirus. Countries that did well in the Spring are heading back into lockdown. Last night here in Ireland we heard the official confirmation of what had been an open … Continue reading

Brexit Warfare on LBC provides real insight into what’s happening.
James O’Brien keeps banging on about how leave voters must see that the promises made will not be kept. But he’s not smelling the coffee! Leave voters want change, and any change. In fact they see chaos as being highly desirable, even though it may hurt them personally. Now in Johnson they have a Prime Minister who is promising change will occur. And Johnson is himself chaotic. He can’t be trusted, but that’s clearly irrelevant. He can be trusted to make change even if it doesn’t work out. The ordinary workers now see that some sort of change will happen. And THAT’s what they voted for. Continue reading
Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
It’s always a pleasure to return to Berlin to look after the grandchildren. Even if they don’t really need any “looking after” it’s great to spend (so called) quality time with them, as well as continuing our exploration of this … Continue reading

Nervous Breakdown Britain
Just hours after I penned this piece, I hear that Angela Merkel has doubled down on the tough EU negotiating position. She is reported to have told Leo Varadkar, “ . . a hard border has to be on the table in … Continue reading
